Aruzhan was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan. From the very early age Aruzhan has always been a leader. First place winner on ballroom dance competitions, class monitor, student council member. Being only 16 years old Aruzhan won a modeling contest Ford Models Supermodel of Kazakhstan and became an international model. During next several years she was modeling in New York and Paris. In 2007 Aruzhan had her bachelor degree in international journalism and mass communications. It took her only two years after graduation to become a chief editor of local business magazine. Despite her success in journalism, Aruzhan decided to change her life completely when she got an invitation to play a lead in her debut film "Swings". Peter Zhmutski was born in the former Soviet Union, in what is today the country of Kazakhstan. Growing up in the capital city of Almaty with a population over 2 million people, Zhmutski's life has always included diverse forms of art. His extensive educational background includes graduating from six different schools. Zhmutski studied and mastered the crafts of music, sports, foreign languages, acting, film, video and television, and even professional writing.
Zhmutski came to the United States of America in 1998 having completed an 8-year music degree and holding a diploma from the Linguistic Gymnasia of Almaty. From childhood, Zhmutski has always been active in stage performances. In Kansas he studied theatre and received his Associate degree from Fort Scott Community College, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Zhmutski moved on to Pittsburg State University to study Communications with an emphasis in Broadcasting. Back home in Kazakhstan, Zhmutski hosted National Television shows for children, which made him feel quite at home with the craft of Broadcasting. After producing several TV shows at PSU, winning the highest awards for his Public Service Announcements and receiving his bachelor degree Magna Cum Laude, Zhmutski opened his own production company "PZ Production" and began making films.
"PZ Production" started in 2002. Zhmutski has already directed and produced 13 shorts, 3 feature films, 3 documentaries, 1 mini series, numerous corporate, training, television projects and music videos. As an actor in major roles, he has participated in more than 25 films and 10 television and web projects. Several of Zhumtski's 20 international merits and awards were presented in Oklahoma at the Barebones International Film Festival and Script-2-Screen International Film Festival. Zhmutski also received 2 Platinum Remi, 1 Gold Remi, and 1 Silver Remi awards in Houston at the 3rd oldest International Film Festival - Worldfest where such directors as Spielberg, Lynch, Cohen Brothers, Ang Lee, Ridley Scott and many others have been recognized with awards.
Zhmutski moved to Oklahoma in 2003. He received his Master of Professional Writing diploma from the University of Oklahoma where Zhmutski also taught film and video courses for two years. In Oklahoma, Zhmutski produced films together with Golden Wing Films, Darkwood Productions, New Ad Age International, National Film Studios, National Film Project Co., Gon Productions and V-DIGI Media.
Zhmutski also produced 15 original individual music CDs and scored 16 films. Over the past 7 years, Zhmutski has also given concerts of his original solo performances, most of which were done as benefit events. His last big performance was a Hurricane Katrina Benefit Concert held in Norman, Oklahoma in December of 2005.
Zhmutski has been invited to develop projects for different production companies across the United States. In 2006 he worked as a creative producer/director at 21st-Century Studios in Jacksonville Florida. From 2007 to 2009 he developed projects for Hollywood companies in California.
Zhmutski returned to Norman, Oklahoma in January 2009 with his wife and daughter. He is a published writer. Today Zhmutski is teamed up with internationally acclaimed Oscar-winning filmmakers to develop and produce projects in the motion picture industry.
In 2013 Zhmutski produced and directed another feature film in Oklahoma called "Project Ghost Town" which will premiere in 2014. In February 2013 Zhmutski produced the first 3D feature film shot in Oklahoma called "Higher Mission" starring Casper Van Dien and Catherine Oxenberg.- Denis Ten was born on 13 June 1993 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. In 1977 Rachid Nougmanov graduated from an architectural institute. In 1984 he entered the VGIK Moscow Film Institute. His first feature The Needle (1988) initiated what was to become in cinematic history: the 'Kazakh New Wave'. Claiming recognition abroad at festivals including Berlin, Toronto and Sundance, the film took First Prize at Nuremberg and was released in the USSR with 1,000 prints in circulation (the resulting boxoffice number - over 30 million admissions). The film's star, Victor Tsoi, was voted Best Actor of the Year 1989 by the national press. From 1989 to 1992, Nougmanov served as President of the Union of Kazakh Filmmakers. In 1992-1993, he wrote, directed and produced The Wild East, which won international acclaim in venues spanning from Venice to Los Angeles to Tokyo, and was honored in Valenciennes, France with the Prix Special du Jury. Vsevolod Aravin was born and grew up in a family of musicians in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan. After appearing in a commercial at the age of 4, he made up his mind to become a film director. Following the family tradition, he studied music, but was determinedly getting ready for a career in directing. The crisis of the 1990s didn't let Vsevolod fulfil his dream of making fiction films, so he worked in documentary and TV for a quite long period, up to 2007. Nowadays he makes feature films and TV-series in Moscow. Working with leading Russian actors, he films in various genres, but mostly action and detective. He often acts as well. He started making his first films with an 8-mm camera in Tien Shan Mountains at the age of 12-14. When he was 18 he started filming with a 16-mm camera. Later, in 1989, having dropped out of Novosibirsk Conservatory, he finally started studying directing at the Theatre Arts Academy (called Leningrad State Institute of Music and Cinematography at that time). Vsevolod has tried lots of sports (mountaineering, rock climbing, scuba diving, freediving, parachute jumping, yoga, powerlifting) and martial arts (boxing, judo, kudo, ju-jitsu). Though for the past 10 years aikido has been the main sport for him (black belt, second dan).- Born and raised in Kazakhstan, Yelena came to the U.S. to study acting at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. While in L.A., she developed and performed the acclaimed one-person show "Anna Sten," about the first Russian actress in Hollywood. Eduard was born in Kazakhstan to a German family which relocated to Germany, when the Soviet Union disintegrated. He grew up in the southwest German town of Kaiserslautern and studied in the historic city of Trier. During this time Eduard became fascinated with street photography, developing his photographic eye and compositional skills.
As a young adult, he lived briefly in London and Belfast before settling in Prague. It was here, where he discovered his passion for documentary film through the One World documentary film festival. Leveraging his photography background, Eduard immersed himself in documentary filmmaking in Prague, teaching himself cinematography and editing through an independent, self-driven approach.
His earliest works involved creating reportages that documented environmental activism firsthand, filming and editing direct actions and protests. This lead to the cooperation with Andrea Culková on her film "Grief".
Shaped by diverse cultures, Eduard lends a discerning eye to conveying universal human stories. His forthcoming documentary "Letters from Kyiv" examines the strength of young Ukrainians, as they cope with the impacts of war.- Cinematographer
